Proofreading of a clean, professionally copy-edited piece: $.0125 USD per word.
Copy editing as described on the “Services” page: $.025 USD per word.
If English is not your native language, or you need heavier copy editing: $.035 USD per word.
For small projects such as emails, web content, and blogs:
Proofreading: Minimum fee is $25.00 USD for projects under 2500 words, and standard fee thereafter.
Copy editing: Minimum fee is $50.00 USD for projects under 2500 words, and standard fee thereafter.
HOW TO BEGIN
For smaller projects:
I will send you a contract and a client preference sheet. You can then send all paperwork and your project in Word or Google docs, 12 pt., double space, Times New Roman to susan@thesageproofreader.com. You will be invoiced with your completed project.
For manuscripts and larger projects:
Please send a 3-page sample in Google docs or Word, 12 pt., double space, Times New Roman to susan@thesageproofreader.com. I will send a contract and client preference sheet with an invoice for 50% in advance to hold your scheduled start date. The remainder will be billed when the project is completed.
Rush Projects add $.0025 to $.0125 per word depending on the size and urgency.
